Welcome to SrcXor
I re-worked an earlier piece, improving the eyes and the overall color. Here's a clip from my "Robot and Flower":
Summer has come, and I'm finally updating the site. I intend to frequently post images here - quick, transient, easy images such as screenshots and WIPs. This first one is a clip from an image I was working on lately. It's an artificial flower with glass bees:
Hiatus ... I've been involved with opening a new school this year. It has taken up so much time that I've had to put this site on the back burner. I probably won't be able to do anything substantial until next summer.
Two stories up...
I finished the "Pictures" page today. However, it will have to be re-written. In its present form, updates will require far too much work. Also, I confess that I used html tables to format the thumbnails. It was fast and easy.. but I really need to go back and figure out how to achieve the same ends with css.
Ironic.. Last night I read that W3 org was beginning work on html version 5. Supposedly there have been so many problems with xhtml that it has been decided that "old-fashioned" html shouldn't be tossed, yet, onto the scrap heap. I can testify to that. For one thing, I've already reverted from xhtml 1.1 to 1.0 transitional. I simply cannot do without the "target" attribute.
I've spent the day tweaking the code. In the past I used frames to minimize the amount of editing I would have to do in order to maintain a website. However, frames are thought to be antiquated. I've used several css tricks to achieve a similar effect. You'll notice that this right pane scrolls when the browser window becomes too small to contain all of the content, but the left-hand navigation pane remains static.
